What are Tokens & Coins?

Coins and tokens are the same crypto assets. Exists in a digital form and uses blockchain networks and cryptography to secure transactions.

The major difference is the blockchain networks it uses. Coins always have their own blockchain networks. While tokens use the existing blockchain networks.

For example, let’s see the most popular coins: Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH). Both have their own blockchain networks.

On the other side, Shiba Inu (SHIB) is a quite popular token. The market cap is almost 12 Billions U.S. Dollars. It does not have its own blockchain network. It uses Ethereum.

You can trade, buy and sell coins and tokens the same way on the crypto exchange.
